Kayenta Outdoors LLC. Limited Warranty

Kayenta Outdoors honors the following limited warranty on all Kayenta Outdoors brand products for original owners of the product. This warranty is not transferable.

If a Kayenta Outdoors product is covered by the terms of this warranty and is determined by Kayenta Outdoors to be defective in materials or workmanship during the applicable time period set forth below, Kayenta Outdoors will repair or replace the defective parts or product. In some cases Kayenta Outdoors may choose to offer the owner a refund or credit of up to the original purchase price of the product in lieu of repairing or replacing the product.

This limited warranty does not cover normal wear and tear, scratches, cosmetic oxidation, or accidents. This limited warranty does not cover any damage due to excessive loading or other misuse or abuse, improper assembly, improper installation, theft, failure to perform routine maintenance, or other uses prohibited by this warranty as described in this document including the Hitch Receiver Capacity Limitations section and the RV Compatibility Limitations sections below.

Taking your product to be serviced by a repair shop that is not affiliated with or an authorized dealer of Kayenta Outdoors LLC will not void this warranty. Also, using third-party parts will not void this warranty. Any parts that are used and/or installed on your Kayenta Outdoors product that are not genuine, unmodified Kayenta Outdoors parts are not covered by this Warranty. Any damages that result from the use and/or installation of parts on your Kayenta Outdoors product that are not genuine, unmodified Kayenta Outdoors parts are not covered by this Warranty.

If you are the original owner of a defective Kayenta Outdoors product, please contact Kayenta Outdoors via warranty@kayentaoutdoors.com. A Kayenta Outdoors representative will work to quickly resolve the problem. No product should be returned to Kayenta Outdoors without prior authorization from Kayenta Outdoors staff.

LIMIT OF LIABILITY

THIS LIMITED WARRANTY ONLY COVERS REPAIR, REPLACEMENT, OR REFUND FOR THE COVERED KAYENTA OUTDOORS PRODUCT WHICH IS THE ORIGINAL PURCHASER’S SOLE REMEDY UNDER THIS WARRANTY. ANY DAMAGE TO VEHICLE OR OTHER PROPERTY IS NOT COVERED BY THIS WARRANTY. PERSONAL INJURY IS NOT COVERED BY THIS WARRANTY. LIMITATION OR EXCLUSION OF INCIDENTAL DAMAGE IS NOT ALLOWED IN ALL STATES SO THE ABOVE LIMITATIONS MAY NOT APPLY. KAYENTA OUTDOORS DISCLAIMS ALL OTHER WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE. IMPLIED WARRANTIES ARE DISCLAIMED ONLY AFTER THE END OF THE LIMITED WARRANTY PERIOD SET FORTH BELOW.

RV Compatibility Limitations

Currently Kayenta Outdoors products are not warranted for use in RV applications. 

Towed Vehicle Exception

Attaching a Kayenta Outdoors rack to a towed vehicle (TOAD) does not constitute an RV limitation as long as the towed vehicle is properly attached and Hitch Receiver Capacity Limitations have been met.

Hitch Receiver Capacity Limitations

This section is applicable only to Kayenta Outdoors products that are used in conjunction with a receiver hitch. The weight capacity of your vehicle’s receiver hitch depends on many factors, including (i) its hitch class rating, (ii) whether it is attached to the vehicle frame or the bumper, (iii) its maximum tongue weight, and (iv) other factors based on your vehicle’s design. Kayenta Outdoors cannot evaluate whether your particular vehicle/receiver hitch combination is sufficient for use with Kayenta Outdoors products. You are responsible to determine the weight carrying capacity of your vehicle and its receiver hitch. Please consult your vehicle owner’s manual and hitch receiver manual to determine if your vehicle/receiver hitch combination has the necessary capacity for a specific Kayenta Outdoors product and your bicycles. The combined weight of the bicycle rack and bicycles is not directly comparable to the maximum tongue weight for your receiver hitch because of the distance from the receiver hitch to the position where the bicycles are supported on the rack. Using hitch extenders, increases the effective load on your receiver hitch even further.

You are responsible to determine if your receiver hitch has the capacity to support a hitch extender product or swing arm with a particular combination of bicycles and bicycle rack. You should not attach a vertical or hanging style bicycle rack to a hitch extender or swing arm.

AS A RESULT OF THE FOREGOING, KAYENTA’S LIMITED WARRANTY DOES NOT COVER DAMAGE OR LOSS, INCLUDING PROPERTY DAMAGE, PHYSICAL INJURY OR DEATH, ARISING FROM USE OF ITS PRODUCTS WITH A VEHICLE/RECEIVER HITCH COMBINATION THAT DOES NOT HAVE THE CAPACITY FOR THE PRODUCT OR CONFIGURATION USED BY YOU ON IT, AND KAYENTA OUTDOORS DISCLAIMS ANY EXPRESS OR IMPLIED WARRANTY RELATING TO THE CAPACITY OF A VEHICLE OR RECEIVER HITCH FOR USE WITH A PARTICULAR KAYENTA OUTDOORS PRODUCT OR COMBINATION OF KAYENTA OUTDOORS PRODUCTS, INCLUDING ANY IMPLIED WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE RELATED THERETO. THIS DISCLAIMER MAY NOT APPLY IN ALL STATES.
